From 6-14-16 episode of The Rob Zicari Show LIVE 10-1pm M-F
President Obama delivered a fiery speech yesterday. Well, half of it was fiery. The fiery half was about the debate involving Obama’s use of the term “radical Islam.”
The first half of the speech was boring. Obama rattled off all the great strides they had made against ISIS. One part that stuck out was when he mentioned Osama bin Laden. Bin Laden wasn’t part of Islamic State, he was al Qaeda. ISIS was created by the vacuum left in Iraq after Obama abruptly pulled our troops out. Obama brought up Bin Laden to remind everybody of the one good thing he did in his presidency. Obama’s only concerned with his legacy at this point. You can tell he just doesn’t give a crap.
Obama talked about the bombing campaigns against ISIS. After the shooting in Orlando, there should have been an increase in the intensity of the bombing. Obama should have delivered a little Iraq-style shock and awe to ISIS’ strongholds. But he didn’t. All he did was talk about what they have been doing, which obviously isn’t working.
ISIS has got to be laughing at us. Instead of kicking their asses for what happened, we’re debating Omar Mateen’s sexuality, questioning whether he was a conflicted homosexual, we’re debating guns, we’re questioning whether certain language is Islamophobic. The terrorists have got to laughing their butts off.
According to liberals, what happened at Pulse Orlando wasn’t terrorism. It was the result of a crazy closeted homosexual who managed to get his hands on an assault rifle because of a gun show loophole and he slaughtered 49 people because he was repressed and guilt-ridden. He went to the club and shot it up and committed suicide by cop because he was a sad gay man. End of story.
Here’s a passage from Obama’s speech:
For a while now, the main contribution of some of my friends on the other side of the aisle have made in the fight against ISIL is to criticize this administration and me for not using the phrase “radical Islam.” That’s the key, they tell us. We can’t beat ISIL unless we call them radical Islamists.
What exactly would using this label would accomplish? What exactly would it change? Would it make ISIL less committed to trying to kill Americans? Would it bring in more allies? Is there a military strategy that is served by this?
Obama doesn’t have a military strategy. Remember when he called ISIS a “JV team?” ISIS had crossed the Syrian border into Iraq, they’re chopping heads off and taking over huge swaths of land. People said, “This looks like it might be a problem.” Obama said, “Calm down. They’re no big deal. They’re a JV team.” So everybody said, “OK. I guess everything’s OK then. He is the commander if chief. He would know. Right?
The answer, is none of the above. Calling a threat by a different name does not make it go away. This is a political distraction.
This is coming from the leader of the Democrats, who are the kings of softening language so people think the problem goes away. “Illegal aliens” are now “undocumented workers.” We could go through a whole list of words and terms that were spawned during Obama’s reign. For example, “safe space.” What the hell is a safe space?
…the men and women in uniform who put their lives at risk, and the special forces that I ordered to get bin Laden and are now on the ground in Iraq and in Syria.
See? He invoked Bin Laden. But Bin Laden wasn’t part of the JV team. Once again, he’s ignoring ISIS. Just the fact that he calls them ISIL tells you something. Nobody else calls them ISIL. Obama brings up Bin Laden to show that he’s tough on terror. Forget about everything that’s happened since then. Obama brought down the big enchilada.
They know full well who the enemy is. So do the intelligence and law enforcement officers who spend countless hours disrupting plots and protecting all Americans — including politicians who tweet and appear on cable news shows.
Between the plots that were disrupted to the ones that were actually carried out, that’s a lot of terror going on. This doesn’t make me feel particularly safe. But according to Democrats and the media, it’s only a small portion of the Muslim population who are at war with the west.
They know who the nature of the enemy is. So, there is no magic to the phrase “radical Islam.” It’s a political talking point. It’s not a strategy.
Political talking point? I would say it’s a political talking point on their end. Every time one of these incidents occurs, the left says we need gun control. As if all of these people would have changed their minds if they couldn’t get a gun.
We have to make it harder for people who want to kill Americans to get their hands on weapons of war that let them kill dozens of innocents.
Enough talking about being tough on terrorism. Actually be tough on terrorism and stop making it easy as possible for terrorists to buy assault weapons.
How is keeping law-abiding Americans from purchasing guns being tough on terrorism? It doesn’t makes sense. It’s only makes sense because you have all aspects of the media hammering the point home. If you keep beating into people’s heads that the only way to stop terrorists is to disarm the victims, eventually they will believe it. I doubt those poor people cowering in the bathroom at Pulse Orlando waiting to be slaughtered believed it. I’ll bet they all wished they were packing heat at that moment.
Controlling the media is how liberals are able to take the absurd and make it logical. They say the actions of a violent repressed homosexual at a gay nightclub does not represent the billions of peaceful Muslims around the world, but yet that one individual represents all the people around the United States who own guns and never kill anyone. They say the NRA and its millions of members have “blood on their hands” because of one sick guy, but it is wrong to blame the billions who practice the ideology that the sick guy used to justify his actions.
Because everyone is fed messages from the left day after day, week after week, month after month, the illogical seems logical.
“Don’t demonize an entire religion because of what one person did!”
“Hey NRA and all you responsible gun owners! You’re all to blame for what one person did!”
Like I said, it’s completely crazy, but Democrats are able to get away with it because they control the media. There is no pushback.
More from Obama:
As Director Comey has said, we currently do not have any information to indicate that a foreign terrorist group directed the attack in Orlando. It is increasingly clear, however, that the killer took in extremist information and propaganda over the Internet. He appears to have been an angry, disturbed, unstable young man who became radicalized.
Nowhere does Obama mention the two previous FBI investigations and everything that led up to the event. He completely dismisses Omar Mateen being on the FBI’s radar and traveling to Saudi Arabia and the UAE.
I think the reason Obama was so angry is because Trump made comments that the media interpreted as saying Obama was somehow in on the Orlando shooting, even though it’s not what Trump said.
I think Obama played right into Trump’s hands. Because the speech was about defending Islam. It wasn’t about the attack. It wasn’t about getting the people behind it. So when Trump said he doesn’t know what’s going on with this president, why he doesn’t fight radical Islam, Obama is forced to explain himself. But he doesn’t say what he’s going to do to prevent it from happening again. He’s not lighting the sky up going after ISIS. Obama defended Islam. He played right into Trump’s hands.
This doesn’t faze the extreme left. They happily absorb the BS that Omar Mateen was a repressed homosexual who killed his fellow gays because he was able to buy an assault rifle. But when the right and people in the middle see Obama talking about words and that’s what he’s riled up about, that’s what he’s passionate about, that’s what he’s going to war with, those people think that maybe Trump might be on to something. Something’s going on with this president. Something funky is going on.
We’ve just had the worst terror attack since 9/11. 49 people slaughtered and many more injured. This president is fired up. He’s fighting mad. Not at ISIS and the people in Iraq and Syria whose influence caused the attack, but mad at Donald Trump for calling him out.
Yeah, there’s definitely something going on with this president.
