From 8-2-16 episode of The Rob Zicari Show LIVE 10-1pm M-F
A new Trump controversy popped up yesterday. Eric Trump said his sister Ivanka was too strong and powerful to allow sexual harassment. He said if Ivanka were sexually harassed at work, he hoped that she would quit.
This was obviously a reference to Megyn Kelly and Gretchen Carlson. Think about this. Megyn Kelly has her own successful show on Fox, has written books and makes millions of dollars. Yet she claims that years and years ago, she was sexually harassed by Roger Ailes. It either didn’t happen or she didn’t think it was a big deal because she wanted to rise in the ranks at Fox News. Megyn stayed at Fox and has even talked glowingly of her former boss, both in her book and during the Donald Trump dust-up last year. On her show, Kelly thanked Ailes for standing by her throughout the controversy. She called him a great boss, yet she was sexually harassed by him. What does that all mean?
Same thing with Gretchen Carlson. It’s one thing to be sexually harassed and the moment it happens, you sue. It’s another to advance up upwards in a company and when something doesn’t go your way, you claim sexual harassment. Gretchen Carlson didn’t get sexually harassed out of the blue a month ago. According to statements and affidavits, this was going on when she had her own show. It was going on before she had her own show. The allegations against Ailes came out after her show was cancelled and her contract was not renewed. Doesn’t that seem a little strange? A little suspicious?
You can’t say you were sexually harassed ten years ago. You’ve lived with that harassment during the course of making millions of dollars. Then when something doesn’t work out the way you want it to, you claim you’re being sexually harassed. It doesn’t work like that. That’s why Eric Trump said what he said, that his sister wouldn’t stand for it and would quit.
You can’t rise through the ranks of a company and become rich and powerful and then cry sexual harassment when you don’t get your way. The day the harassment starts should be the day a lawsuit gets filed.
What if the roles were reversed? I could never imagine in a million years that hot young woman teachers would be having sex with their students. Don’t think for a minute you couldn’t have a female executive like Carly Fiorina calling a male subordinate into her office.
“You sent for me, Ms. Fiorina?”
“Yes, Robert. I have been watching you at your computer and I noticed you are very good with your hands on the keyboard.”
“Why thank you, Ms. Fiorina.”
“Is there anything else you can do with those hands?
“Uh.. excuse me?”
“What didn’t you understand? What else do you do with your hands?”
“Well, I uh… I eat with my hands.”
“Do you want to eat something right now? Do you want a tuna sandwich? Is that what you want? A taco?”
“Come over here and EAT MY TACO!”
Then she grabs your head and you’re down there. Now at that moment, you either stop and claim sexual harassment or sexual assault, tell her you’re reporting her to the authorities and filing a lawsuit, or you take a deep breath and chow down on Carly’s taco. Then you’re no longer on the keyboard. You have your own division. You’re eating tacos three or four times a week. You can’t eat all those tacos and become vice president of acquisitions where you’re making $23 million dollars a year and you get fired because maybe someone else is better at eating tacos and you then claim sexual harassment. It doesn’t work that way.
Don’t think it couldn’t happen to a man. Like I said, I never thought hot teachers would be banging their students. I had a teacher once who would sometimes wear low-cut blouses and when I leaned over her, I could see her bra and a couple of times I caught a nip-slip. Had she offered herself for sex, I probably would have orgasmed in my pants. On the other hand, if the science teacher I had who looked like Michael Moore had come onto me, I might have lost my lunch. Making out with Michael Moore is not worth an ‘A’ in science.
So don’t tell me that sexual harassment can’t happen to a man. It can happen. When it does happen, you gotta make a choice. You either roll with it and see what happens and how much money you’re going to make, or you stop it right there and file a lawsuit.
Eric Trump was right when he said his sister was powerful and strong. He said Ivanka wouldn’t be a Gretchen Carlson or Megyn Kelly.
I couldn’t agree more
