Give Me Your Tuberculosis

From 6-29-16 episode of The Rob Zicari Show LIVE 10-1pm M-F

There is an inscription on a plaque at the Statue of Liberty which reads:

“Give me your tired, your poor,

Your huddled masses yearning to breathe free,

The wretched refuse of your teeming shore.

Send these, the homeless, tempest-tossed to me,

I lift my lamp beside the golden door!”

Hmm…tired…poor…homeless…tempest-tossed… Don’t see anything about diseased.

There is some disturbing news you may not have heard about. CNN is not going to do a panel on it, neither is MSNBC. It’s getting buried.

Syrian refugees are bringing active tuberculosis into the United States.

I told my dad about it and he was shocked. “Tuberculosis? That’s something that was around when I was young! (He’s 79) I thought we got rid of that?”

So did I, dad.

From Breitbart:

Seven refugees with active tuberculosis (TB) were diagnosed shortly after their resettlement in Idaho between 2011 and 2015, according to the Idaho Department of Health and Welfare.

This makes Idaho the seventh state to confirm to Breitbart News that recently arrived refugees have been diagnosed with active TB.

The other states in which recently arrived refugees have been diagnosed with active TB include: Louisiana (twenty-one), Florida (eleven), Colorado, (ten), Indiana (four), Kentucky (where nine were diagnosed in one county), and North Dakota (where four refugees who resided in the United States for less than five years were diagnosed in one county).

Tuberculosis. This isn’t some Alex Jones conspiracy theory. This is real.

Anyone who is young has no idea what tuberculosis is. It’s a disease that was suppressed years ago with vaccines. It’s like bubonic plague. You just don’t hear about too many people in the US walking around with TB anymore. We got rid of it, and now Syrians are bringing it back.

“We vet these refugees. We vet em good. They’re not terrorists.” OK, so they’re terrorists. But they’re carrying a virus bomb inside them. Granted, it’s not Orlando. It’s not blowing yourself up in an airport, but tuberculosis is nothing that you want to get.

From Wikipedia:

Tuberculosis (TB) is an infectious disease caused by the bacterium Mycobacterium tuberculosis (MTB). Tuberculosis generally affects the lungs, but can also affect other parts of the body. Most infections do not have symptoms, known as latent tuberculosis. About 10% of latent infections progress to active disease which, if left untreated, kills about half of those infected. The classic symptoms of active TB are a chronic cough with blood-containing sputum, fever, night sweats, and weight loss. The historical term “consumption” came about due to the weight loss. Infection of other organs can cause a wide range of symptoms.

Like I said, this is not something you want to catch. It’s not something we want brought into this country. It’s not good.

Why is it racist or xenophobic or Islamophobic or whatever liberals want to label you as to say we’ve got enough people in the United States? Why is it wrong to want to limit people who come from countries that import terrorism or tuberculosis? I get it, we’re a nation of immigrants. Fine. But can we be a little more selective about who we let in?

Tuberculosis is spread through the air. When a person with TB coughs or sneezes, anybody who is near this person breathes the disease into their lungs. OK, so they’re not all terrorists, but there’s a whole bunch of them with tuberculosis. That’s enough for me to not want them living next door.

Man, you got Zika virus and now tuberculosis-ridden Syrians. What the hell is going on here? You do know that people are going to bring Zika back from the Olympics, don’t you? It’s not just the athletes from the US that go to the Olympics, but their friends and families go as well. I don’t know why we’re going to the Olympics at all. Have you see what Zika does to kids? It’s horrible.

Brazil is a vile, disgusting cesspool. These guys are practicing their rowing and there’s turds and blood products and other hazardous sewage floating in the water. We are going to have thousands of Americans hanging out in that filthy place and some of them are going to bring the Zika virus back. They are going to come back to the United States and spread it. Trust me.

If I’m a racist xenophobe, I want to be a racist xenophobe without tuberculosis or Zika. I want to be a racist xenophobe who doesn’t have to worry about his daughter being shot in the back by an illegal alien as she’s walking on a pier. I want to be a racist xenophobe who doesn’t have to worry getting blown up at the airport waiting on a flight to Vegas. I’m fine with being a racist xenophobe if it will prevent any of those things from happening. Deal?
