What the hell is going on over there at Fox News?
Andrea Tantaros is the latest on-air personality to file a sexual harassment lawsuit against the network. What I find interesting is that the former co-host of The Five and Outnumbered did this after she was fired, just like Gretchen Carson was.
Now I know this is going to sound skeevy and sexist, but do you think that women are hired by Fox News because they are great intellectual thinkers with unparalleled journalism skills? Andrea Tantaros is really cute. She’s conservative, she likes guns. Tantaros is a total package. Same thing with Kimberly Guilfoyle. Oh my God. She is friggin’ gorgeous. Hard to believe she’s 47 years old. A former Victoria’s Secret model, Guilfoyle joined Fox News in 2006 as the host of the now-cancelled The Lineup. She is currently the interim host of The Real Story, which was hosted by Gretchen Carlson. For the record, Kimberly has come out in support of Fox News and its former founding chairman Roger Ailes.
It’s obvious that these women were hired largely because of their looks. There are more than enough dogs in the news business. There are enough 2am girls running around that if Fox News was all about having unattractive intellectual giants hosting their news programs, they could take their pick from CNN or MSNBC.
Have you ever seen a great big fat person as a host on Fox News? Have you ever seen anyone on Fox who wasn’t good looking? CNN has that slob Tara Setmayer. Then of course they had Candy Crowley, who left CNN in 2014 after 27 years with the network. MSNBC has Rachel Maddow, who actually was pretty before she decided to adopt the uber-hip lesbian chic vibe. CNN has their own Rachel Maddow, who is even less attractive. Her name is Sally Kohn.
Fox News is all about the babes. They could hire those intelligent beasts over at CNN or MSNBC, but they don’t. All a female host at Fox News has to do is read from a teleprompter and nod her head and agree with Eric Bolling. All she has to do is remember talking points. Oh, and be sexually harassed.
Andrea Tantaros says that Fox News is run “like a sex-fueled, Playboy Mansion-like cult, steeped in intimidation, indecency and misogyny.” Are the allegations true? Who knows? It does seem suspicious that these claims are made only after a host is let go. Tantaros was fired because she wrote a book without receiving network approval, which was a violation of her contract. She went back and forth with Fox over her firing, then she filed a sexual harassment complaint.
Just like Gretchen Carlson, Andrea Tantaros says Fox News is a sex cult. But both women had been with the network for years. If all this sexual harassment was going on, why did they stay there that long? If I walk into a network office and see “a sex-fueled, Playboy Mansion-like cult” going on, I’m going to turn around and walk right out of there.
Say I get hired by 640 KFI or a station on the Salem network. Hugh Hewitt is there to greet me.
“Hello, Rob. I’m Hugh Hewitt.”
“I know who you are, Mr. Hewitt. Nice to meet you.”
“So here’s your office. The restrooms are down the hall. They are of course fitted with glory holes.”
“Yes, there are glory holes. The first year a new host is hired, he is required to take care of business whenever a senior executive like me taps his foot in the stall next to you. After your first year, you get to have your own business taken care of. It’s a way of working your way up the ladder. Sorta like an incentive.”
Umm…ok. I don’t think I’m going to fit in here, Mr. Hewitt.”
Then I run out of the building as fast as I can and go straight to my lawyer’s office. If I see a sex cult going on with Hugh Hewitt, I’m outta there.
That’s why I question these allegations. These women have been at Fox News for years. Gretchen Carlson was there for 10 years. Ten years of working the glory holes at Fox. Andrea Tantoros claims that Roger Ailes would ask her to “twirl” and show off her body in his office and ask her sexually suggestive questions. In this day and age, that is considered sexual harassment. Asking a woman to twirl and show off her body is sexual harassment, but sticking a cigar in an intern’s vagina is not. That’s a private matter between two consenting adults.
So I don’t know. Somebody is telling these women at Fox News to dress the way they do. Kimberly Guilfoyle never wears a dress that doesn’t prominently display her heavenly jugs. Fox News apparently hires women based on how they look. Perhaps that’s why their ratings are consistently higher than CNN or MSNBC.
After repeatedly seeking help, Tantaros claims she was told by Fox News lawyers that Roger Ailes was a “very powerful man” and to “let this one go.” She also alleges unwanted sexual advances from Bill O’Reilly. (Was a loofah sponge involved?) Tantaros also claims that she was demoted from the highly-rated 5pm show The Five and put on the lower-rated Outnumbered. So I guess she was fine with the twirling and sexual harassment when she was on the 5pm show, but became very upset when she had to go to Outnumbered.
I gotta imagine the sex cult was going on before she was asked to twirl in Ailes’ office. It had to have been going on when she was in the highly-rated 5pm slot. So is Andrea Tantaros trying to cash in on the Fox News sexual harassment bandwagon? I don’t know. But it sounds suspicious. That’s all I’m saying.
Here’s another picture of Kimberly Guilfoyle. Have a nice day.
